Chijoke has over 20 years of diverse experience in engineering, projects, operations, quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE), strategic planning and business development in ten countries across Europe, Africa and Asia.
He served as the Corporate Planning Manager at Transocean in Switzerland, where he was responsible for divesting non-core assets and assisted with developing the corporate strategy for the world’s largest offshore driller. He also had various line management and support responsibilities in Transocean, Seadrill and Schlumberger, including being the first Nigerian to manage a 5th generation ultra-deep-water drillship, QHSE Manager of Transocean’s Gulf of Guinea division, Commercial Manager for Seadrill responsible for Africa, and Project Manager responsible for the deep-water harsh environment upgrade of the Schlumberger owned Sovereign Explorer.
He was in 2012 appointed the Head of EHSSQ at Oando PLC, a position he held until appointed COO for OES Energy Services Ltd in 2015 and subsequently appointed the Managing Director of the Company’s JV operations (Ocean Drilling ESV Nigeria Ltd [ODENL]).
He earned a B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin in 1995 and an MBA in General Management from Heriot Watt University, United Kingdom, in 2005.
